Overall Series Review

Insidious is a standard-setting supernatural horror film that remains Refreshingly free of modern sociopolitical agendas. The story centers on the Lambert family, a traditional nuclear unit consisting of a father, mother, and three children. When their eldest son falls into a mysterious coma, the parents work together to save him, eventually turning to a grandmotherly spiritual expert for help. The film relies on classic atmosphere and tension rather than lecturing the audience. It presents a world where the spiritual realm is real and the bond of a family is the primary defense against external evil.
