Plot
In this witty, new breed of mystery, George (Hugh Jackman) is a shepherd who reads detective novels to his beloved sheep every night, assuming they can't possibly understand. As they follow the clues and investigate human suspects, they prove that even sheep can be brilliant crime-solvers.

Overall Series Review
Categorical Breakdown
The story focuses on a flock of sheep solving a mystery in an English countryside village. Character motivations are based on loyalty to their shepherd and individual personality traits rather than racial or social hierarchy politics.
The narrative presents the traditional English rural village with affection and classic mystery tropes. The community is depicted with cozy pastoral charm rather than ideological hostility toward Western heritage.
Female and male sheep work together as a cohesive flock, using their unique individual strengths to gather clues. Relationships are grounded in mutual cooperation rather than gender warfare or demoralizing tropes.
The film contains no sexual ideology, gender theory, or deconstruction of traditional family structures. The narrative remains suitable for general audiences and stays entirely within the realm of a cozy mystery.
The plot centers on objective clues, truth-seeking, and basic moral accountability for murder. Organized religion is not targeted or mocked, and the sheep's naive beliefs about the afterlife serve as light narrative humor rather than spiritual cynicism.
